Job Description

$70 per hour Milpitas, CA Contract
  • Duration:

  • Job Description:
  • + We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate electrical components, modules, and subsystems that support complex system architectures.
+ This role involves owning the end-to-end electrical design lifecycle—from requirements definition and feasibility analysis through detailed design, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing handoff. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in PCB design, advanced electrical systems, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Responsibilities:
  • + Design electrical circuits, modules, and subsystems + Develop schematics and PCB layouts using Cadence OrCAD/Allegro + Perform circuit analysis, signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and thermal assessments + Support rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCB design + Work on ADC, BMS/battery, RF, and low-power MCU designs + Execute prototyping, system integration, and validation testing + Create technical documentation (design specs, test procedures, assembly instructions) + Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ME, SW, Systems, Manufacturing) + Interface with suppliers and support issue resolution across product lifecycle •
Experience:
  • + 3+ years of electrical design experience + Strong experience with Cadence OrCAD and Allegro + Experience with advanced PCB technologies (flex/rigid-flex) + Knowledge of SI/PI, power distribution, and thermal considerations + Hands-on experience with prototyping and validation + Basic PLC programming (ladder logic) knowledge + Experience with
DFM/DFT/DFX
practices + Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance + Familiarity with
FPGA/EPLD
tools (Xilinx/Altera)
  • Skills:
  • + Cadence OrCAD and Allegro + Electrical design + DFM/DFT/DFX practices
  • Education:
  • + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
