From groundbreaking technology to our commitment to a more sustainable planet, everything we do is rooted in a desire to leave the world better than we found it. \\n\\nWe're seeking a passionate and results-driven Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Engineer to join our iPhone Hardware Engineering - System Technology team and help push the boundaries of what iPhone can do.

In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with System Electrical Engineering (EE), Product Design (PD), and module teams, including camera, display, audio, and sensors, to design, model, simulate, and verify EMI coexistence across iPhone's subsystems.\\n\\nOur team is creative and passionate about what we do and the products we make. \\n\\nCome join us! In this role, you will identify, analyze, and mitigate EMI between subsystems to ensure co-existence. You will characterize and debug system-level EMI coexistence and RFI desense issues, leveraging both 3D EM and circuit simulations - spanning frequency and time domains alongside hands-on hardware validation using tools such as near-field scanners, spectrum analyzers, and VNAs. You will model the various subsystems on the system to assess their EMI impact, while developing design guidelines that inform board layout, system architecture, and product bring-up. \n\nWorking across multi-functional teams, you will define EM performance requirements and continuously improve design methodologies to ensure robust subsystem coexistence within the system. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in EE or related field and minimum 5 years of industry experience \nStrong experience in 3D EM simulations for debugging and mitigating complex EM coexistence issues\nHands-on experience in EM and circuit simulation tools: Ansys HFSS/Maxwell/SIWave, CST, ADS/Spice/Spectre, Cadence/Sigrity\nStrong academic background in EM theory and coupling mechanisms is a must \nStrong EE fundamentals PhD preferred \nHands-on experience in hardware board-level testing, validation, and with lab equipment (near field scanning, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, scopes)\nKnowledge of Power and Signal integrity \nKnowledge of switching DC-DC converters\nAbility to relate electrical performance to physical layout\nExperience with scripting languages such as Python \nExcellent collaborative and communication skills
