The Hardware Test Lab Engineering and Operations Lead is responsible for the technical and operational leadership of a Hardware Test Lab supporting workstation hardware development and reliability. This role owns day‑to‑day lab operations and provides technical oversight across electromagnetic emissions, electromagnetic immunity, power, mechanical, thermal, acoustic, and environmental testing to ensure products meet internal requirements and reliability expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead overall operation of the Hardware Test Lab, including test scheduling, capacity planning, safety, process improvement, and lab efficiency. Provide technical leadership for planning and execution of hardware testing, including development of test plans, procedures, test setups, data analysis, and reporting. Oversee and coordinate the work of multiple technicians, ensuring quality, consistency, and on‑time execution of all testing activities. Partner closely with hardware development engineering teams to support workstation reliability, interpret results, and drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions when issues arise. Maintain lab readiness through oversight of test equipment, facilities, calibration, maintenance, and documentation. Communicate test results, risks, and status clearly to engineering and management stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical field. 2+ years of professional technical experience Self-starter with strong work ethic Experience leading or coordinating hardware test activities in a lab environment (e.g., EMC/EMI, mechanical, environmental, thermal, power, and acoustics testing). Working knowledge of test equipment operation, test setup troubleshooting, and technical report generation. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to manage priorities and multiple stakeholders. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills This is an onsite position working directly with hardware and team members at our Fort Collins, Colorado location. Candidate must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States Preferred Qualifications Experience with EMC/EMI, Mechanical, and Environmental standards and compliance testing methodologies. The pay range for this role is $73,800 to $113,650 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
