Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Altium Designer and hands-on experience with RF and high-speed PCB layout. This role requires close collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality, robust PCB designs from concept through production. Key Responsibilities Design and develop complex, multi-layer PCB layouts using Altium Designer Perform RF PCB layout for high-frequency circuits, including controlled impedance traces, RF matching networks, and grounding strategies Translate schematic designs into manufacturable PCB layouts that meet electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements Apply best practices for signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and ESD Coordinate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper component placement and enclosure integration Create and maintain PCB documentation including fabrication notes, bill of materials, assembly drawings, and Gerber/ODB++ outputs Interface with PCB manufacturers and assemblers to resolve DFM/DFA issues Support prototyping and job-startup activities Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of layout standards and processes Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in PCB layout design Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer Proven experience with RF PCB layout (e.g., 50-ohm transmission lines) Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC principles Experience laying out multi-layer boards Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical design requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Able to work within a team driven environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with microwave or high-frequency designs (>1 GHz) Knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-2221, IPC-7351) Experience with rigid-flex or flex PCB designs Background in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, automotive) is a plus Must speak English We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package including full health insurance and PTO Opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware designs Collaborative and technically driven work environment Career growth and professional development opportunities Ability to
