VALOR DFM

(Design for Manufacturing) Engineer for Aerospace & Defense Division Candidate may work from Naperville, IL, Longmont, CO, or Westborough, MA sites.

Description of role and responsibilities:

Candidate will perform design for manufacturing analysis using VALOR platform to evaluate electronics PCBA assembly layout, in adherence with IPC guidelines, component manufacturer specification/recommendations and industry standard practices. VALOR output report will be qualified and quantified using a standard format in which risk assessment is presented for possible design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality and yield.

Qualifications Requirements:

+ Candidate must be a US Citizen in order to comply with ITAR and DFAR requirements + Engineering B.S. degree (Electrical) + Experience managing/viewing PCB files and viewers: + Cadence/Allegro + ODB+ + + Gerber/ ASCII files + KiCAD + Siemens Xpedition + CAMvu + Experience in search/interpretation of electronics part data, component libraries. + Component engineering experience + 3 years of experience in basic PCB design guidelines (Real Estate constraints/component proximity, thermal relief, copper density/distribution, trace/pad copper balance, etc.) + PCB panel/Array design + PCBA assembly experience desired ( SMT /Pin through hole, Press fit interconnects) Due to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.
