Limited, as needed Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior General Interdisciplinary Engineer to directly support Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) Wired & Wireless (AFLCMC/HNIB)located at the Hanscom
AFB, MA. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Education:
Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related engineering discipline
Years of Experience:
Ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD. Two additional years of directly related experience with proper certifications may substitute for the Master's degree.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Engineer degree from an ABET accredited engineering program Experience in DOD System Engineering policies and procedures
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide expert advice to professional colleagues and/or agency officials responsible for broad program operations Provide significant and innovative recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods Execute significant projects representing an important segment of the agency's operating programs Evaluate the value and applicability of new or improved technology, strategies, trends, or applications Investigate, predict, and anticipate technical issues and conditions extending beyond a single specialty area, and affecting known standards, approaches, or concepts Develop or collaborate in the formulation of new standards, applications, concepts, or theories Assess and carry out strategies and actions to affirm the integrity, economy, quality, and effectiveness of engineering or scientific programs Advocate recommendations, strategies, and actions to reconcile or resolve novel, conflicting, or controversial issues or policies EPASS HN
