Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Hardware Design Engineer develops creative and technically sound engineering solutions for assigned projects. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting hardware systems while demonstrating increasing levels of accountability, technical expertise, and leadership. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, quality standards, and performance expectationsPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Design Solutions- Delivers engineering design excellence.
- Delivers flawless deliverables to client. Manages deliverables and timing for self. Delivers products that meets Kaleidoscope s standards and when appropriate, international standards and regulations. 3. Performance Management
- Checks own work and that of peers, as requested. Mentors and collaborates with entry level staff. Participates in management of scope, schedule and cost. 4. Client Interaction
- Presents to internal and external audiences. Represents Kaleidoscope in a positive fashion. 5. Research
- Participates in project research and brainstorming teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience- Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related field 3-6+ years of professional experience in engineering and product development Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities
- Possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Adequately uses Microsoft Office applications:
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook). Detail oriented work style and service. Works and thinks in a methodical and logical way. Prioritizes and completes tasks to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames. Works collaboratively with colleagues and clients. Thinks for clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, significance, logic, and fairness. Writes and prepares documents/reports/proposals in a concise and logical format. Willingness to take direction from others and to accept constructive feedback while being adaptable. Communicates in a professional demeanor. Excellent listener. Handles sensitive information and maintains confidentiality.WORKING CONDITIONS
Tools and Equipment Used- Computer workstation, typical office equipment, Laboratory instrument and measurement equipment Travel
