Job Description

VALOR DFM
(Design for Manufacturing) Engineer for Aerospace & Defense Division Candidate may work from Naperville, IL, Longmont, CO, or Westborough, MA sites.
Description of role and responsibilities:
Candidate will perform design for manufacturing analysis using VALOR platform to evaluate electronics PCBA assembly layout, in adherence with IPC guidelines, component manufacturer specification/recommendations and industry standard practices. VALOR output report will be qualified and quantified using a standard format in which risk assessment is presented for possible design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality and yield.
Requirements:
Candidate must be a US Citizen in order to comply with ITAR and DFAR requirements Engineering B.S. degree (Electrical) Experience managing/viewing PCB files and viewers: Cadence/Allegro ODB++ Gerber/ASCII files KiCAD Siemens Xpedition CAMvu Experience in search/interpretation of electronics part data, component libraries. Component engineering experience 3 years of experience in basic PCB design guidelines (Real Estate constraints/component proximity, thermal relief, copper density/distribution, trace/pad copper balance, etc.) PCB panel/Array design PCBA assembly experience desired (SMT/Pin through hole, Press fit interconnects) Due to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.
