Job Description

Hardware / PCB Design Engineer (Mid & Senior Levels)
Location:
Linthicum Heights, MD (Onsite)
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (Required) Overview Seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented engineer to design and debug advanced cryptographic hardware systems. This role involves full ownership of the hardware design lifecycle, from initial architecture through high-layer PCB layout and final lab integration.
Core Qualifications EDA Expertise:
Proficiency in
Cadence Allegro and OrCAD High-Speed Design:
Experience with LVDS and high-speed signaling (up to 10 Gbps)
Design Complexity:
Strong knowledge of 16+ layer HDI designs and IPC Class 3 standards
Full Lifecycle Ownership:
Experience with component selection, schematic capture, vendor coordination, and system integration/testing
Documentation:
Ability to create detailed and accurate technical design documentation Highly Desirable Experience Experience with NSA Type 1 cryptographic systems and certification processes Knowledge of secure design principles, including TEMPEST and
RED/BLACK
separation Familiarity with FPGA development (Xilinx Vivado), Python scripting, or Git-based workflows
Education & Experience Requirements Mid-Level:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering + 7 years of relevant experience OR 12 years of relevant experience without a degree
Senior-Level:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering + 12 years of relevant experience OR 17 years of relevant experience without a degree Additional Requirements 7+ years of PCB design experience 7+ years of hardware engineering experience Ability to work onsite
