Computer Hardware Technician

Synergy Associates is seeking a technically skilled candidate for the position of Computer Hardware Technician . Candidate will be responsible to configure and test HPE and Dell business computers, servers, options, and peripherals. This position will also be responsible for troubleshooting all hardware related problems as well as researching and answering hardware configuration and other product questions. Synergy Associates is a tier-one distributor of HPE Renew servers, storage, and network equipment for the United States. Additionally, we are a North American distributor providing Dell Recertified Enterprise Equipment. We are a designated channel source for both HPE and Dell resellers. Synergy is also an international distributor for HPE's Replacement Parts Business supporting North America and Latin America. We sell Microsoft server products with our solution sales to authorized resellers in the channel. In addition, our training includes certification with major OEM's in the technology field. Job Description:

Configure and test enterprise-class HPE and Dell servers, storage, and networking equipment according to customer specifications. Troubleshooting all hardware related problems. Maintain timely and accurate logs with product documentation. Research and answer hardware configuration and other product questions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Configure business class servers. Product identification, labeling, and verification. Strict adherence to processes, work, and safety instructions. Work together with Solutions Manager to maintain efficient workflow. Maintain an efficient, clean, and safe work area. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. Requires periods of time where standing, bending, kneeling is required. Provide the necessary support to others as required. Carry out other associated tasks when requested.

Skills and Requirements:

Technical background with computer industry experience. Works well with others, team player. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and hardware specifications Self-starter, consistent, and disciplined. Excellent problem-solving ability. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Information:

Work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additional "after hours" support when needed. No open toed shoes/sandals.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
