Job Description

Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Advanced FPGA Engineer position that just opened in Bloomington, MN. In this role, you will support mission-critical defense and aerospace programs by performing ASIC and FPGA design, verification, and documentation for high-performance and secure systems. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related STEM field) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or a Master's degree with 3+ years).

$81.92/ hour

CLEARANCE
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire. In this role you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to: Define, design, verify, and document ASIC and FPGA developments throughout the full lifecycle Determine architecture, simulation approaches, and detailed design strategies Define module interfaces and support all aspects of device design and simulation Evaluate process flow including high-level design, synthesis, place-and-route, timing, and power utilization Create test and simulation plans, verify results, and analyze system performance Review vendor capabilities, foundry technologies, device libraries, and simulation tools Support process improvement initiatives for
ASIC/FPGA
development Generate technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, and tools Contribute to feasibility analysis for design proposals and specifications Select components and equipment based on defined requirements and reliability standards Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior engineers as needed Plan and execute project tasks independently with limited supervision
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Clearance Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire U.S. citizenship is required

engineering concepts, principles, and design techniques Strong understanding of
ASIC/FPGA
processes and related disciplines Expertise in design tools and methodologies for
ASIC/FPGA
development Ability to create and validate design concepts, test plans, and simulation strategies Skilled in Microsoft Office and technical documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly report issues and corrective actions Creative thinker with the ability to multi-task and work under limited direction Ability to collaborate with senior engineering teams and interface with customers as needed About our client: Our client is a mission critical DOD - Aerospace defense contractor developing solutions that will lead, serve, and protect our country.
