DESCRIPTION

Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Analog Power Design Engineer to work from their McLeansville NC facility. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering to develop, test, and implement electrical components, equipment, and systems. The role involves participating in requirements analysis, design, integration, and verification processes, as well as supporting technical reviews and root cause analysis. The Electrical Engineer works within defined processes and collaborates with project leaders, program managers, and external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. As an Analog Power Design Engineer for Undersea Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: High Voltage DC Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters. High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics and HVDC technology What sets you apart: Expert level understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories Circuit Design expertise Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis) Feedback / Control systems experience Power System architecture and grounding Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Ability to travel as needed
