Job Description

Accentuate Staffing is working with an innovative technology company that is developing advanced optical and spectroscopy-based instrumentation used in healthcare, scientific research, environmental monitoring, and industrial applications. This organization offers a collaborative engineering environment where employees contribute to cutting-edge product development while working closely with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting. This role will play a key part in designing next-generation electronic hardware for precision instrumentation platforms used across multiple high-impact industries. Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a company seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with strong mixed-signal PCB design expertise and hands-on laboratory validation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting full product development lifecycles, collaborating with firmware and FPGA teams, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems. This position will focus on circuit design, board bring-up, signal validation, design reviews, manufacturing support, and regulatory compliance activities for advanced instrumentation products.
Responsibilities:
Design and maintain mixed-signal PCB schematics and hardware architectures using industry-standard electronic design tools for embedded instrumentation systems. Perform circuit simulation, signal validation, board bring-up, timing analysis, and hardware troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and related laboratory equipment. Collaborate with firmware, FPGA, mechanical, and PCB layout teams to support component selection, interface development, grounding strategies, and manufacturable designs. Lead technical design reviews to identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and integration challenges throughout product development. Support manufacturing, testing, and regulatory compliance efforts including troubleshooting production issues, product validation, and EMC/safety testing activities. Contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives while supporting multiple overlapping engineering projects in a collaborative development environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience using Altium or similar PCB design software in hardware development environments. Strong background in digital and mixed-signal circuit design, low-power electronics, and embedded hardware systems. Hands-on experience with laboratory diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal validation tools. Familiarity with revision control systems and exposure to firmware, scripting, or embedded development tools such as Python is preferred. Excellent communication, troubleshooting, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support cross-functional engineering teams.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
