Digital circuit design Design engineering Printed circuit board (PCB) layout Engineering product development Computer engineering Oscilloscopes Mixed-signal circuit design Python Engineering validation Full Job Description Become a Key Player as a Hardware Design Engineer You will help design and validate PCBAs that control electro-optical sensors, lasers, batteries and related components for next-generation spectroscopy and OCT instruments. Your work will impact product development, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing readiness as you collaborate with firmware, FPGA, layout, and manufacturing teams. Onsite (5 days per week). Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team Design and maintain PCB schematics and generate orderable packages using Altium Validate circuit performance with SPICE and other simulation tools prior to board spins Lead multidisciplinary reviews to resolve electro-mechanical issues (grounding, interference, cable harnessing) Lead bring-up of new boards, including power and timing validation Analyze signal timing and waveforms using oscilloscopes, network analyzers and other lab instruments Coordinate with firmware and FPGA engineers on pin assignments, memory selection, and interface design Review initial component placement and routing with PCB layout engineers Support regulatory testing and documentation for EMC, electrical safety, and emissions standards Work with manufacturing to analyze electrical issues arising in assembly and customer returns Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline At least 5 years of experience with Altium or a comparable PCB design tool Experience with digital and mixed-signal circuit design Proficiency using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and similar lab instruments Experience with revision-control systems such as Git, BitBucket, or Allspice Strong written and oral communication skills Here's What Else Might Help You Out Familiarity with soldering, board inspection and rework Familiarity with firmware or scripting tools such as Python Pay Range $130,000 - $150,000/year Ready to Make Your Mark?
