U.S. Citizens only (export-controlled hardware) Who This Role Is For This role is for an experienced
ECAD / PCB
Designer who has personally owned complex board designs from concept through manufacturing release — not an operator, drafter, or entry-level layout technician. You will be responsible for full-cycle PCB design ownership in a regulated hardware environment, working side-by-side with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams. What You'll Be Doing Own schematic capture, PCB layout, and release for rigid, flex, and rigid-flex boards using Altium Translate electrical requirements into manufacturable designs including: Component placement Controlled-impedance routing Power/ground plane strategy EMI/EMC considerations Drive
DFM / DFT / DFX
reviews and resolve manufacturability issues before release Create and release complete ECAD documentation: Fabrication & assembly drawings BOMs Revision-controlled design packages Partner with: Electrical Engineers on architecture and constraints Mechanical Engineers on enclosure, connectors, thermal, and form-fit-function Manufacturing & suppliers to support builds and resolve issues Manage ECR/ECN activity , revision control, and configuration accuracy Support production and sustainment efforts as designs move into build Contribute to ECAD process improvement and best practices What We're Looking For (Must-Have) U.S. Citizenship required 5+ years of hands-on
ECAD / PCB
design experience in a production hardware environment Strong proficiency in Altium Designer (schematic + layout) Proven experience designing boards for manufacturing release , not prototypes only Solid understanding of: PCB fabrication & assembly processes Signal integrity & impedance control Power distribution and grounding
DFM / DFT
principles Ability to work on-site in Wilson, NC Comfortable supporting designs through manufacturing build and issue resolution Nice to Have Aerospace, defense, or other regulated hardware experience Exposure to high-speed digital, mixed-signal, RF, or power electronics Experience with PLM systems (Windchill, Teamcenter, or similar) Prior manufacturing support or supplier interface experience Mentoring junior designers or setting ECAD standards
