West Henrietta, NY Contract-to-Hire Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer to design and develop digital circuits for next-generation smart glasses and head-mounted display products. This role involves full-cycle hardware development, from schematic design through prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 6+ years of experience in hardware design and development Proven experience taking hardware designs from concept through implementation Strong background in high-speed digital design and debugging Solid understanding of hardware/software interfaces Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout Preferred Qualifications Experience with C programming and microprocessor-based systems Hands-on experience with soldering and PCB rework Additional experience using Altium Designer for both schematic and layout design Responsibilities Design schematics and perform PCB layout for digital circuits used in smart glasses and head-mounted display systems Collaborate with PCB fabrication and SMT vendors to produce prototype PCBAs Test and debug hardware for functionality, performance, and reliability Develop and maintain technical documentation including requirements, validation, and test procedures Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to develop electronics for highly constrained form-factor products Participate in cross-disciplinary design reviews to optimize system performance and implementation Ensure compliance with
