Position requires 3 years of experience in the following: Performing measurements to validate that designs meet established safety design specifications Systems architecture design or system-level design for product safety systems, testability and reliability, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for product safety. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,900 - $189,000+ bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Position reports to the Google Sunnyvale, CA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy. Responsibilities Work closely with hardware design teams and suppliers to understand new project architectures, and determine the appropriate safety standards and regulations Apply hazard based safety engineering principles to evaluate the hazards, and provide feedback to the design team to mitigate those hazards Develop test plans, lead a compliance testing team to extract key data to ensure all safety goals are met in accordance with relevant standards and specifications, and communicate and document findings, risks and recommendations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and implement design improvements to further safety goals Perform failure analysis of deployed products. Help in developing strategy and roadmap for Safety initiatives to support power, cooling and data center infrastructure.
