• Overseeing design outputs to ensure safety, quality, and compliance
• Reviewing and approving technical deliverables, reports, and specifications
• Developing efficient design solutions based on scope and site inputs
• Providing technical leadership to engineers, technicians, and graduates
• Ensuring designs align with industry standards and client requirements
• Managing and recording design changes across project lifecycles
• Supporting planning and estimating of design activities
• Attending and contributing to technical review meetings and workshops
• Interpreting and implementing engineering standards and updates
• Acting as a technical authority across projects and supporting tenders Requirements
• Strong background in design engineering within the UK water sector
• Experience across clean water and wastewater projects
• Experience delivering both outline and detailed design
• Understanding of infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes
• Experience with hydraulic calculations and system profiling
• Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
• Strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving capability
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Degree, HND, or equivalent experience
