Job Description

Team Environment:
Join a tight, highly capable engineering team in a small division with meaningful latitude to be creative, influence product direction, and improve how hardware is developed and released.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a 7+ year electrical engineer who can develop hardware, integrate designs into complete products, introduce them to the factory, and support them throughout the product lifecycle.
Compensation Range:
$130,000 - $180,000 annually. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, integrate, verify, and release electrical hardware for custom products and subsystems. Partner with RF/Microwave, power, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to deliver robust products. Support transition from concept through prototype, qualification, production release, and sustaining engineering. Drive strong documentation, configuration control, and engineering change practices. Help the team improve design reviews, requirements flow-down, verification, and release discipline. Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions during build, test, and field support. Incorporate environmental, EMI/EMC, assembly, and manufacturability considerations, including MIL-STD-810 and
MIL-STD-461.
Mentor less-experienced engineers and reinforce practical hardware integration best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 7+ years of experience developing electrical hardware and supporting products through factory introduction. Experience with product integration, documentation, change management, and production support. Working knowledge of environmental and EMI/EMC design considerations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Background Defense, aerospace, FAA, or other regulated hardware environments. Mixed-signal, subsystem, power, or ruggedized electronics development. Experience improving team process and coaching peers on sound hardware development practices. Work Environment This hybrid role requires regular on-site presence at our Frederick, MD manufacturing facility, with flexibility for remote work to support collaboration and program needs.
