Duties:
Manage new prod. intro. & volume prod. support eng. for a specific prod. or group of prods. after transferring from des. to in-house or outsourced prod. Interface w/ des., proc., test, reliability, & manufacturing eng. to solve prod. issues & prod. problems as the prod.(s) move from des. & devel, to completion, release, & high-volume prod. Dev. & sustain proc. Improv. to reduce prod. costs & increase yields. Conduct low yield root cause anal. for volume prod. prods., proc. transfer & prod. transfer b/w fabrications. Define problems by ident. failure modes, qty. of material affected, percent fallout, & fin. impact. Perf. data anal. on yield, test data, & fabrication electrical device data & tool data using stat.al data anal. s/w or self-developed program. Perf. circuit anal. on a variety of anlg. & mixed signal integrated circuits by using electronic des. tools. Utilize precision meas. equip. & apply meas. techniques & tools req. to establish different anlg., power, RF, or digital perf. metrics to evaluate & collect meas. of device ops. to validate the failures. Perf. fault isolation & Physcl. failure anal. to determine the root cause from material perspective. Drive future preventive action & solution: improve test, des., & procs. to achieve the best quality & the lowest cost. Partial telecommute benefit (2 days/week work from home).
Requirements:
Master's degree in Electrical Eng. Materials Science, Device Physics, or a closely rel. tech. discipline (willing to accept foreign edu. Equiv.) & two (2) years of exp. as a Prod. Eng. or rel. occ. perf. mixed signal circuit debugging & Physcl. failure anal. Must also possess the following (quantitative exp. Req. not appl. to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (DE) anlz. manufacturing stat.s using Klarity ACE, Galaxy Examinator, & PDF Solutions Exensio to perf. correlation anal. b/w fab proc. data & yield, & pareto anal. to identify the top failing events. DE perf. mixed integrated circuit (IC) & modeling & simulation using Cadence, Avalon, Console, & Advanced Des. System (ADS). DE perf. Eval. & characterization using bench test equip. including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, & power meters controlled & automated by Python, LabView, TestSt& , or other progr. languages. DE perf. failure anal. of anlg./mixed signal integrated circuits by conducting fault isolation using techniques such as OBIRCH, EMMI, X-Ray & Thermal Hotspot & leveraging principles of semiconductor device physics & transistor level anlg. circuit. DE perf. Mech. & chem. de-proc.ing, parallel polishing, utilizing high-resolution scanning electron microscope (SEM) & focused ion beam (FIB) & rel. techs. such as passive voltage contrast (PVC), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), & in-situ nanoprobing to characterize & interpret the microstructure & material props. of the semiconductor device.
