Active DoD Secret Clearance Simple Job Description We are hiring a Hardware / Software Test Engineer to support software test engineering and system integration efforts for defense programs. This role involves testing Linux and VxWorks software, supporting hardware and software integration, creating test plans, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment and supporting formal test events with DoD clients. Key Responsibilities Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs Perform testing of hardware and software systems Identify failures, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions Support Linux and VxWorks software testing environments Work with development teams to track and resolve bugs Support integration testing and formal customer sell-off events Track requirements and verify system performance Create reports and support acceptance testing deliverables Assist with smoke testing, integration testing, and test harness development Travel occasionally for overnight support when required Required Qualifications Active DoD Secret Clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, STEM, or related field 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree with 3+ years) Experience with software test execution and documentation Experience using test tracking tools Strong understanding of HW/SW integration testing Preferred Qualifications Experience with C programming Embedded systems experience Experience with Jira and Confluence QA or configuration management experience Experience supporting DoD test events #
