ENGINEER - RESEARCH ENGINEER
- Space Avionics / Computing Engineer 05-00297Who We Are:
We are a world-renowned supplier in advanced spacecraft computing, avionics, and payload processing solutions. Our state-of-the-art research and development center provides complete turn-key systems and solutions to meet the most demanding space applications. Objectives of thisRole:
Responsible for design, analysis, documentation, verification, and test of digital electronics hardware for space applications including command and control, data storage, signal processing, and communications. Lead the full lifecycle design for related flight digital electronics in high reliability systems for space applications; define requirements, write specifications, perform analysis and implement designs from concept to hardware; lead and work with team of engineers. Interface with customers, and compile and present data to justify design.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, test, and delivery of printed circuit boards, FPGA, and potentially, embedded processor designs; complete worst case timing analysis and other analysis necessary to justify related digital electronics. Travel is required in order to provide field support at customer facilities. Will lead full PCB life cycle including providing direction to PCB designers/manufacturers, and working within an integrated project team with other disciplines such as packaging, parts, reliability, production and quality assurance. Will lead full FPGA life cycle including providing direction to designers/manufacturers, and working within an integrated project team with other disciplines such as timing analyses and quality assurance.Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. 0-3 years: FPGA Development. 0-3 years: Circuit Design, with emphasis on power electronics and/or digital design. 0-3 years: Requirements development and traceability. A valid/clear driver's license is required.Special Requirements:
