Job Description

PCB Designer We are seeking a PCB Designer with 3-5 years of experience to support the design, testing, and production release of printed circuit board assemblies. This is a multi-faceted role for someone who can translate design requirements into manufacturable layouts, support prototype validation, coordinate with vendors, and work closely with production teams to improve quality, reliability, and throughput. Key Responsibilities Create and revise PCB layouts based on schematics, electrical requirements, mechanical constraints, and design-for-manufacturing principles for multi layer PCBs. Includes circuit design. Partner with electrical and manufacturing teams to support component placement, routing strategy, layer stack-up, and overall board optimization. Generate and maintain fabrication files, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and related design documentation for prototype and production builds. Support prototype bring-up, testing, and design validation, and incorporate findings into layout revisions and engineering updates. Develop, build and use of test fixtures, test setups, and design-for-test considerations to improve validation and production efficiency. Work closely with PCB fabricators, assembly vendors, and component suppliers to address manufacturability, quality, and technical issues. Partner with production teams to support new product introduction, pilot builds, engineering changes, and resolution of manufacturing issues. Review and improve existing designs for reliability, performance, cost, and ease of manufacture. Maintain accurate revision history, change documentation, and technical records throughout the product lifecycle. Qualifications Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered Plus 3-5 years of experience in PCB design, PCB layout, or electronics product development in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation. Experience with PCB CAD/layout tools and a solid understanding of board layout best practices, design rules, and manufacturability. Experience supporting testing, validation, troubleshooting, and design updates through prototype and pre-production phases. Familiarity with test fixtures, design-for-test concepts, and production support activities. Experience routing mixed signal Printed Circuit Boards (analog and digital) Experience designing boards to standards (UL 840 preferred) Firm understanding of EMI mitigation and immunity techniques Knowledge of common Communication protocols such as RS232/RS485, Ethernet, SPI, UART, etc. Prefer experience testing boards for FCC Certification Experience using Altium PCB Designer preferred Experience soldering and reworking boards Experience working with vendors, contract manufacturers, or suppliers on fabrication, assembly, and technical quality matters. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams. Why us?
