Job Summary:
We support our client in seeking an experienced professional to provide embedded leadership in program safety, reliability, and hazard control. Our team values proactive risk management and technical expertise to ensure safe environments throughout the full lifecycle of complex aerospace projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead early hazard identification, assessment, and mitigation activities for high-risk aerospace and development operations, following through from evaluation to closure. Provide subject matter expertise in safety during design, test, and readiness reviews, supporting both flight and non-flight hardware with a focus on developmental systems and non-routine processes. Partner closely with engineering, test, facilities, and EHS teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and drive closure of corrective and preventive actions. Deliver safety consultation, training, incident response support, technical reports, and documentation related to program and facility operations.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or a closely related technical field. Minimum 10 years of work experience in safety, EHS, process safety, system safety, reliability engineering, or operational risk management. At least 5 years of experience in operational aerospace, manufacturing, chemical industry, pilot plant, prototyping, or test operations environments. Demonstrated experience with hazard assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, corrective/preventive action implementation, and compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and state/local regulations.
