Job Description

We are seeking a Safety Engineer III to partner with Engineering, Test Operations, Facilities, and EHS teams to identify hazards, reduce operational risk, and ensure the safe execution of program objectives. This role provides hands-on safety leadership and subject matter expertise in program safety, occupational safety, process safety, and environmental compliance while supporting hardware development and test operations.

$71.00 - $79.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday (Overtime as needed) Responsibilities Lead safety initiatives for engineering, manufacturing, and test operations. Conduct hazard assessments, risk analyses, and mitigation planning. Support design reviews, operational readiness reviews, and Management of Change (MOC) processes. Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements. Develop and deliver EHS training programs. Perform safety audits, inspections, and operational assessments. Support emergency response planning and high-risk operations. Prepare safety documentation, reports, and compliance records. Key Qualifications 5+ years of Safety Engineering, EHS, or Process Safety experience. Experience with OSHA compliance, hazard assessments, and incident investigations. Knowledge of PSM, MOC, LOTO, confined space, and fall protection programs. Experience conducting JHAs, risk assessments, and safety audits. Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience. Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, testing, aerospace, or other high-hazard environments. Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
