Job Description

This Safety Engineer position supports the COMET Contract at Kennedy Space Center with primary responsibi ity for h ping to ead the implementation and execution of Artemis cross-program integrated hazard analysis reporting. The role supports COMET Safety & Mission Assurance (S&MA) in establishing and refining the processes, tools, and technical framework required to meet contract requirements for integrated hazard identification, documentation, coordination, and verification across multiple programs and operational interfaces. The position serves as a technical resource to COMET Safety Engineers and program stakeholders, providing guidance in the development, integration, and quality review of hazard reports to ensure technical accuracy, traceability, configuration control, and alignment with NASA and Ground Systems requirements. This Safety Engineer will work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and Program teams to support hazard lifecycle management, verification tracking, and continuous process improvement to ensure consistent and compliant hazard integration for Artemis Ill and future missions. Other duties as assigned related to integrated hazard reporting and associated processes. Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Industrial Safety, Aerospace Safety, or Launch Vehicle processing.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
