LI-CM3 How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks): Manages the
OSHA 300
log to ensure accurate record-keeping as required by OSHA Facilitates Safety Tracking Program updates at least weekly to maintain accurate injury status and any lost or restricted workdays associated with the injury or illness as well as following up on observations/near misses/ injuries in a timely manner Supports injury reduction efforts Manages facility hazardous materials and hazardous waste ensuring compliance with all applicable EPA and EPD requirements Responsible for the assessment and procurement of PPE in all areas across the building including the Zappos safety shoe program and the Eyelation Prescription safety glass program Provides oversight of the Powered Industrial Trucks program ensuring forklift licenses are up to date and training is complete Manages the safety committee and oversees all tasks related to safety committee Supports the effort to obtain and then maintain
ISO 45001
certification Conducts regular workplace hazard assessments and publishes the results to drive safety in production areas Coordinates emergency response operations including fires and fire drills, severe weather and severe weather drills, earthquake drills, chemical spills, and medical emergencies; act as an incident commander for emergency response Manage critical safety programs such as lock out/tag out and machine guarding in conjunction with the DFP production team Maintain critical safety related metrics including the global injury rate and recognize patterns that affect metrics to drive down injuries Files critical environmental, health, and safety reports with both state and federal entities as appropriate Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures Performs other duties assigned under the umbrella of safety and environmental What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Must have a bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field Must have a strong working knowledge of
OSHA/EPA/EPD
guidelines Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills Proficiency with MS Office products Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
