• $145,000 + Benefits Position Overview A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer with strong experience in Plumbing and Fire Protection system design for commercial and high-rise building projects throughout New York City.

This individual will play a key role in system design, code compliance, project coordination, and client interaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with NYC building standards and fire protection codes and be comfortable managing projects from design through construction support. Responsibilities Design plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use projects Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation Ensure designs comply with NYC Building Codes, NYC Plumbing Codes, International Fire Code, and

NFPA 13/14

standards Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout all phases of projects Review shop drawings, RFIs, and construction submittals Conduct site visits and support construction administration activities Assist with permitting and agency coordination as required Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance Preferred Qualifications PE License preferred but not required Experience with NYC DOB filings and approvals Consulting engineering experience strongly preferred Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to work on high-profile NYC projects 10-15+ years of experience in Plumbing and Fire Protection system design within an MEP consulting environment Strong working knowledge of NYC Building Codes, NYC Plumbing Codes, International Fire Code, and
