Full-Time About the Opportunity A well-established, nationally recognized multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities Design fire protection systems including automatic suppression, fire detection, alarm, and mass notification systems Perform life safety code analysis , egress studies, and fire-resistant construction evaluations Conduct smoke control and fire protection system analyses Evaluate existing systems and provide recommendations for improvement Perform peer reviews and collaborate with internal engineering teams Support consulting services using fire protection engineering principles Participate in special inspections and research related to fire protection and life safety Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to support project delivery Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field 3-5 years of experience in AEC consulting or fire protection engineering EIT required, with the ability to obtain PE; PE or PE-track candidates preferred Fire Protection Engineering degree is a plus Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred Strong working knowledge of fire and building codes and standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team Additional Skills & Attributes Active or aspiring involvement in professional organizations such as NFPA and SFPE Ability to perform code interpretations and technical analysis Interest in developing a specialized area of expertise within fire protection Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with standard office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) Motivation to grow into a Senior Engineer or Project Manager role What's Offered Competitive compensation package Discretionary bonus potential Hybrid work schedule Comprehensive benefits including flexible PTO Strong focus on career development and advancement Collaborative, team-oriented culture Why Join This firm offers the best of both worlds-a close-knit, supportive team environment paired with the stability and resources of a larger organization.
