As a Plant Engineer, you will join a skilled, close-knit team at our Dell Power Plant, where innovation, reliability, and hands-on engineering come together to keep a natural-gas combined-cycle facility running at peak performance. Located in a rural setting with access to larger metro areas, this plant offers the best of both worlds - meaningful impact in power generation and a strong team culture. You'll support safe, dependable 24/7 operations through smart engineering, collaborative problem-solving, and leadership during projects and outages. This role primarily works a day schedule, with additional support during outages and critical operational events.
What You'll Do
+ Develop and manage maintenance and capital projects - from scope and budgeting to contractor oversight and commissioning.
+ Perform field troubleshooting, engineering analyses, and root cause investigations to eliminate repeat issues and improve plant operations.
+ Support DCS controls (Emerson Ovation and GE Mark VIe), Management of Change, compliance programs, and outage execution planning.
What You'll Need
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
+ At least 2 years of experience in power generation, combined-cycle, or heavy industrial plant operations.
+ Strong project management and technical problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and reliability.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, contractors, and OEM partners.
