Job Description

Industrial Engineering Intern at American Air Filter Company, Inc. in Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States Job Description Apply Job Type Internship Description Description Roles and Responsibilities As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of Industrial engineering specializations that may include: Participating in and leading Kaizen events Developing Value Stream Maps for critical processes Developing tool control and implementing 5S in specified work areas Performing Time Studies and level loading process flow Drive efficiency improvements in specified work centers Requirements Requirements A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria.
The candidate must:
Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university. Be majoring in a STEM field (physics, engineering (various), mathematics, etc.) Strong communication skills, oral and written. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Ability to multitask and organize/prioritize job assignments in a fast-paced and gated-release engineering development environment. Previous work with Lean Principals. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrable problem solving skills with hands-on project experience. Strong communication and analytical skills and discipline with the ability to organize and prioritize job assignments and tasks. Previous experience with Time Study, 5S, and other Lean Principals Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint...)
