At HME you will have the opportunity to learn and grow while developing our future products. Come join our team! We are currently hiring for a Supplier Quality Engineer III . Supplier Quality Engineer III is responsible for conducting supplier audits, establishing systems, procedures, controls and metrics to ensure and enhance overall quality of supplied materials. Facilitates strong partnerships with suppliers while collaborating with internal departments in identifying process improvement opportunities within the supply chain. Leads failure investigations related to supplied product. Works directly with suppliers to develop corrective action plans to address nonconformities in order to drive improvement in quality and productivity. Assists in all supplier qualification endeavors, including supplier on site audits and evaluations. What you will do in the position: Supplier Quality Management and Supplier process improvement Collects and evaluates supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain. Works with the supplier directly, create corrective action plans to address process failures. Reviews supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities. Communicates with Engineering, Quality Engineering and Supply Chain internally to identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement. Collects, maintains and presents supplier performance metrics. Coordinates with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure awareness to known purchased part or product quality issues. Participates in Design Review meetings to ensure awareness to design changes. Ensures implementation is in accordance with first article process. Regularly visit suppliers and assist Supply Chain in conducting Supplier Audits. Supports Corrective Action, Qualification and Disqualification Participates in QMS and reliability meetings and present purchased part or product quality issues and metrics. Performs or leads root cause analysis investigations on purchased part or product quality issues and work issue through containment of the corrective action process. Communicates and instructs suppliers on the use of a corrective action process and quality tools & techniques. Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) process. Maintains supplier audit results. Identifies quality trends by supplier and maintain supplier quality scorecards. Recommend suppliers for qualification and / or disqualification based upon quality performance. Auditing and Special Projects Support the
ISO 9001
internal audit program as internal audit team lead or internal audit team member for all assigned audits as defined by QMSR and/or the Internal Audit Program Administrator. Supports special projects as required by QA Management. What you will need to succeed: Qualifications Excellent verbal, communication, organizational and presentation skills. Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Office tools: Access, Excel, Word, Visio. Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills. Familiarity in use and application of destructive & nondestructive inspection and test methods and related equipment. ISO9001:2008 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent experience. Experience in interpretation of
ANSI GD&T
Standards. Familiarity with UL and CE regulatory requirements. (Preferred) Familiarity with
IPC-A-610
standards Certification to
IPC-A-610
(Desirable) Advanced quality trend analysis and reporting skills. Advanced knowledge and application of ANSI Z1.4 and Mil Std 105 sampling methods Lean•Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (Preferred)
ASQ Certifications:
CQM, CQE, CQA
(Desirable) Experience 6+ years Related Field Education BA or BS (college graduate)•Required Travel 30-50% The posted pay range, $94,800•$126,400, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors.
