Full Job Description Production Engineer Job Title:
Production Engineer Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Production Engineer to support machine build, customization, testing, and shipment preparation activities. This role works closely with engineering to ensure equipment meets customer specifications and performance standards while contributing to continuous improvement and R D efforts. Key Responsibilities Prepare machines for shipment, including implementing customizations based on engineering designs and customer requirements Install and integrate machine components, including sensors, VFDs, HMIs, and PLC controllers (electrical, mechanical, and programming aspects) Validate machine performance and quality under the guidance of the engineering team Assist with machine programming, debugging, and basic troubleshooting of electrical and control systems Work with electrical systems across a range of voltages, including 110V, 220V, and 480V Support engineering with research and development initiatives, including testing new designs and concepts Perform machine shop operations such as drilling, milling, lathe work, and welding Identify and resolve issues during assembly and testing to ensure reliable machine performance Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety procedures and standards Qualifications Associate's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related) or equivalent hands-on experience Experience with machine assembly, industrial equipment, or automation systems preferred Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical controls Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering documentation Familiarity with AC/DC circuits and industrial voltage systems (110V-480V) Experience with machine shop tools and fabrication processes Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams Preferred Skills Exposure to PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) Experience with VFD setup and configuration Welding or fabrication experience Prior experience in custom machine building or automation environments Benefits Competitive Salary Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
