Job Description:
We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to support a next-generation autonomous mobility manufacturing environment focused on the design, development, and continuous improvement of packaging solutions for complex electromechanical components. Responsibilities Design, test, and improve packaging solutions for component transportation and internal manufacturing operation Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure packaging meets operational requirement Support packaging standardization initiatives and process improvement Assist with supplier selection, management, and packaging performance review Develop and maintain packaging validation procedures and continuous improvement program Drive packaging solutions that improve product protection, transportation efficiency, and overall logistics cost Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for packaging optimization Support implementation of packaging equipment and material handling solutions within manufacturing operation Track and analyze packaging performance metrics and KPI Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident for this role Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 4+ years of experience in packaging, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or automotive environments Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods Experience with distribution, fulfillment, or logistics operations Ability to interpret CAD models and technical drawings Familiarity with automation, robotics, warehouse automation, or material handling systems preferred Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills Preferred Experience Automotive, electric vehicle, robotics, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing industry experience Returnable packaging and supplier packaging development experience Packaging validation and transportation testing experience
