Job Description

Sr. Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Software Tesla Motors, Inc. 108,000 - 240,000 USD paid holidays, flex time, 401(k) United States, California, Palo Alto Apr 09, 2026 What to Expect To support Tesla'sinnovativebattery manufacturing scale-up, the Supplier Industrialization Engineering (SIE) team works closely with suppliers to ensure robust production systems, data integrity, and quality control. This roleis responsible fordeveloping and improving supplier Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), enabling reliable data integration between suppliers and Tesla, and building scalable data systems for production monitoring and analysis. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to drive system implementation, data standardization, and continuous improvement. You will work with large data sets, findingbestways to engineer the data to help create critical KPI metrics, build innovative visualizations anddashboards.

What You'll Do Assess supplier manufacturing systems andidentifygaps in MES, traceability, and data integrity Design, implement, or improve MES solutions at supplier sites to support production workflows and genealogy tracking Develop andmaintaindata pipelines (APIs, ETL) to enable reliable data transfer between supplier systems and Tesla Build and manage cloud-based databases for collecting and storing supplier production and equipment data Analyze high-volume manufacturing data to generate insights on production performance, quality, and process stability Create dashboards and visualization tools tomonitorsupplier KPIs and support cross-functional decision making Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deploy scalable, secure, and reliable software and data solutions What You'll Bring Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems, software engineering, or data engineering Hands-on experience with MES implementation, customization, or integration in manufacturing environments Strong programming and data skills (e.g., Python, SQL) and experience with APIs or ETL pipelines Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, or similar) and data modeling Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including workflows, traceability, and quality systems Strong communicationskills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers in a fast-paced environment Work well under pressure while collaborating and managing competing demands with tight deadlines Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $108,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
