Job Description

  • Senior Quality Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)
  • About the Role
  • We are partnering with a leading global electronics manufacturing organization seeking a
  • Senior Quality Engineer
  • to drive quality excellence across complex PCBA and system-level production environments. In this high-impact role, you will act as a critical liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers—leading data-driven investigations, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring strict adherence to quality standards. A key focus will be supporting
  • New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions from design validation through production ramp.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Lead
  • supplier quality management
  • across components and materials, ensuring compliance with internal and customer quality standards + Conduct
  • supplier qualification, onboarding, and audits
  • (system, process, and product) to assess production readiness + Own
  • Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
  • processes, including inspection criteria, defect analysis, and material disposition (MRB) + Drive
  • supplier corrective actions (8D/CAPA)
  • , including root cause analysis, containment, and effectiveness validation + Support real-time
  • production containment activities
  • for supplier-driven quality issues impacting
SMT/PCBA
lines + Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, SMT, QE, PE, Planning, and Program Management teams + Monitor supplier performance metrics (PPM, defect rates, audit scores) and lead continuous improvement initiatives + Support
  • NPI builds
  • , including supplier readiness, First Article Inspection (FAI), and risk mitigation + Analyze defect trends and implement preventive actions to improve process capability and reduce repeat issues + Ensure supplier compliance with
  • ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems
  • + Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits with proper documentation and traceability + Act as a key escalation point for supplier-related quality issues impacting production + Lead supplier scorecard development and performance management + Coordinate rapid resolution of material and component issues affecting manufacturing output
  • Required Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's degree in
  • Electrical Engineering
  • or a related technical discipline + 5+ years of experience in
  • quality or manufacturing engineering
  • + Strong analytical skills with expertise in
  • yield, test, and defect data analysis
  • + Deep knowledge of
  • SMT, PCBA
    manufacturing, PIH, testing, and RMA repair processes
  • + Solid understanding of
  • electronic theory, analog/digital circuits, and system architecture
  • + Hands-on experience with
  • IPC-A-610 and
J-STD-001
standards
  • + Proven ability to lead
  • root cause analysis and cross-functional corrective actions
  • + Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally + Strong customer-focused mindset, especially in escalation management
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Experience supporting
  • NPI programs and production ramp-ups
  • + Background in
  • semiconductor (silicon) manufacturing or testing environments
  • + Familiarity with
  • mechanical manufacturing processes
  • + Certifications such as
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or CQE
  • + Proficiency with
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • $95,000 - $105,000 annually +
