50-60% domestic and occasional international travel (Canada, Mexico, etc.) BI04 Job Summary The Supplier Quality Engineer will manage supplier quality performance, product/process qualifications, supplier audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives. The role requires strong experience in electrical/electronics manufacturing, supplier quality management, root cause analysis, and process improvement within industrial or power generation environments. Key Responsibilities Manage supplier qualifications and ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Lead supplier audits, surveillance assessments, and supplier onboarding activities. Own product and manufacturing process qualifications at supplier sites. Conduct supplier inspections and ensure product quality compliance. Support customer witness inspections including FAT and COP inspections. Review supplier quality metrics and drive corrective/preventive actions. Handle supplier NCRs, warranty claims, supplier recoveries, and deviation requests. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Evaluate supplier process capability and drive process improvements. Provide technical guidance to suppliers on manufacturing and quality requirements. Support supplier development and new supplier approvals. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Controls, or related Engineering discipline. 8-10 years of experience in electrical/electronics engineering, manufacturing, or quality. Minimum 3 years of Supplier Quality or Supply Chain experience.
Strong experience with:
PCBAs Wire Harnesses & Cables Control Cabinets Sensors, Transducers, Switches Control Transformers Wiring schematics and logic circuits Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, technical standards, and manufacturing processes. Experience conducting audits, inspections, and supplier quality evaluations. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel extensively. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering. Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification. ISO Lead Auditor certification. Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISO, ANSI, and NEMA standards. Experience with Nuclear Industry standards (N299.2, N299.3). Experience in power generation or gas turbine equipment manufacturing. Formal RCA/problem-solving methodology experience (8D, Kepner-Tregoe, Apollo, etc.). Strong leadership, ownership, and influencing skills.

$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
