AM Position Overview:
As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support the analysis and improvement of existing processes while contributing to initiatives that enhance productivity and cost effectiveness across the organization. This role offers hands-on experience in identifying and implementing process improvements that impact employee performance, facility efficiency, and system effectiveness while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in developing, researching, implementing, and maintaining Warehouse and Labor Management Systems (WMS/LMS) to improve distribution center operations Provide engineering support for facilities and distribution centers Support the maintenance of accurate labor standards in accordance with documentation procedures Assist in improving work methods through the application of Lean techniques and deployment of best practices Support information technology system implementations and collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects Work with Operations to help improve resource utilization and support cost reduction initiatives Assist in performing data analysis, developing metrics, and creating reports Utilize CAD software to support the design and improvement of facility layouts Assist in using simulation tools to analyze and improve product flow Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

  • Friday 7:00am
  • 4:00pm Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Experience:
Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field Basic understanding of engineering principles, process improvement, or Lean methodologies Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis tools is a plus Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) or simulation tools is a plus
Skills:
Physical abilities : Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc; Strong communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
Organizational Skills:
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; project management Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality
