Job Description
Company Overview Sprayer Depot is a leading wholesale distributor and manufacturer of sprayers, parts and accessories serving numerous industry verticals including agriculture, horticulture, lawn & pest, tree & landscape, aquaculture, soft wash, municipal/government. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team in the role of Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer.
Job Description:
Responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and executing projects in a manufacturing environment using Lean principles, Six Sigma, and/or other improvement methodologies. Will leverage data and business intelligence to improve systems and processes. Will oversee product/project design and development employing elements of stage-gate. Will work in partnership with supply chain/inventory, warehouse, production leaders to create leaner, more efficient business units.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand warehouse/work cell layout and equipment capabilities
- Use the Theory of constraints to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increase throughout, workflow improvements, etc.
- Responsible for enhancing/developing Standardized Operating Procedures and training
- Train other employees on new SOPs and training
- Improve and develop Base and Level Trainings
- Utilizes CAD software to design layout, workflow, and material handling processes
- Utilizes CAD software to design new products
- Organize project/product development in Monday.com, or Jira
- Communicate with management and other personnel to develop production and design standards
- Assist with refining QA/QC protocols
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Experience operating basic tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift 30LBs and work on your feet intermittently during the workday Experience level:
- 8-10 years
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
Experience:
Industrial Engineering:
8-10 years (Preferred) Or- Mechanical Engineering 8-10 years
