Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer at our Fort Walton Beach, FL location.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for performing complex assignments to develop, apply and maintain quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products. As well as managing the quality of our supplier base.
Responsibilities:
Drive effective evaluation of new suppliers during the product development process to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted Coordinate product and component failure analysis. Drive corrective action, and inspection of all program hardware (to J-STD001 and IPC610 Class 3) and documentation and supplier quality improvements. Work directly with supplier base on material issues to drive timely root cause analysis and implementation of permanent/preventative corrective actions. Analyze and resolve customer complaints and field reliability issues. Manage in-house program audits and corrective action program in support of AS9100 (Aerospace Standard) certification. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current process and process changes. Lead both CSI and GSI inspections and provide customers all required documentation. Ensure proper documentation via NCMR's of all quality write ups, ensuring all NCMR's are properly filled out and addressed prior to hardware moving forward. Assist Manufacturing Engineering in FAR (Failure Analysis Reports) to ensure all failures are properly documented and full corrective action is followed through and documented. Ensure all hardware and documentation is in compliance with approved drawings and designs. Assist and take a lead role in driving to completion of FAR's as required in accordance with AS9102. Drive Material Review Board meetings where applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years experience as Supplier Quality, Quality, Reliability or Components Engineer in a electronics or automotive manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required. Experience with statistical tools such as Minitab preferred. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. Familiarity with Hybrid manufacturing methods including IPC610 and
J-STD001.
Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
Eligibility Requirement:
This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
