The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers. What You will
Do:
Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers - Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) at customer assembly facilities, warehouses or customers globally. Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues. Assist with process improvements. Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process. Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity. Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place. Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances
What You Will Bring:
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines. Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable. Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously. Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end. Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability. Technical training or further education in quality mechanical or electrical engineering Confident knowledge of office computer programs (MS Office) Proactive, independent personality Excellent communication, organizational problem solving skills required. Experience or working with critical parts. Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) SAP experience Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Experience in power generation/Aerospace industry
Pay Range:
$75k-$85k/ annum Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Orlando, FL You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel requirements:
