Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for 3 Industrial Engineers to support their manufacturing customer in St. Petersburg, FL area. These individuals will be supporting a highly specialized, hands-on manufacturing project involving the teardown and analysis of switchgear units. This role will focus on capturing key learnings from the teardown process and translating them into standardized work instructions and scalable process documentation for future production.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead teardown and analysis of switchgear assemblies Develop and standardize work instructions Create and maintain process documentation Capture learnings and translate into repeatable processes Conduct time studies and process mapping Identify and drive process improvements Partner with engineering and production teams
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering Experience working with large-form or complex assembly environments (e.g., switchgear, panels, heavy equipment, etc.) Proven experience with: Work instruction creation Process documentation and standardization Strong understanding of: Process mapping Time studies Line balancing / workflow optimization Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio, etc.)
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience with Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methodologies Background in factory assembly, box build, or production environments Familiarity with systems such as MES, SAP, or similar manufacturing tools
