Industrial Engineer

Insight Global is looking for 3 Industrial Engineers to support their manufacturing customer in St. Petersburg, FL area for a 3 month contract. This role will focus on translating hands-on findings into standardized work instructions and process documentation that can be leveraged across production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and document switchgear assembly through teardown activities Create and standardize work instructions and process documentation Convert findings into repeatable manufacturing processes Conduct time studies and process mapping to improve workflow Support continuous improvement initiatives across production

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering Experience working with large-form or complex assembly environments (e.g., switchgear, panels, heavy equipment, etc.) Proven experience with: Work instruction creation, Process documentation and standardization Strong understanding of: Process mapping, Time studies, Line balancing / workflow optimization Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio, etc.)

Compensation:

$40/hr to $45/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
