Job Description

OVERVIEW
A well-established company with a strong presence in manufacturing is seeking a Process Engineer for their facility located in Newnan, GA. The plant is undergoing significant investment in new equipment, offering an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to join as part of the Manufacturing Engineering team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer will be responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring production meets quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES
Create production tooling designs using 2D & 3D software (e.g. SolidWorks). Implement productivity enhancements on existing production lines. Conduct root cause analysis using statistical methods and recommend process improvements (e.g. Lean Tools). Develop and implement production processes for new products and changes to existing ones. Perform FMEA's on new and existing products, assessing designs, materials, and processes. Review product designs for manufacturability and efficiency. Collaborate in cross-functional teams to optimize productivity methods. Lead exercises in design of experiments, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead design review meetings for new and existing products. Develop work instructions, spare parts inventories, and critical parts lists. Implement automation systems, robotics, vision systems, and other manufacturing technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (particularly SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office. Experience in tooling design. Project management skills to oversee projects from start to finish. Automation experience with robotics and PLCs. Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment. Industry experience, with preference for zinc or high-pressure aluminum die casting, stamping, plating, or finishing. Desired experience in foundry operations. Authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship.
