This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving system design, PCB layout, FPGA integration, and automation, ensuring efficient and reliable electrical solutions across diverse industrial environments. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and contribute to the advancement of manufacturing technologies. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems for industrial applications, including power distribution, control systems, and automation equipment. Create detailed schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation to ensure precise implementation. Develop firmware and software components utilizing programming languages like C++, Python, Perl, and scripting to enhance system functionality. Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures or system malfunctions to identify underlying issues and implement effective corrective actions. Collaborate with mechanical engineers on system integration involving surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and mechanical assembly processes. Perform signal processing analysis and design using tools like MATLAB or Simulink to optimize system performance. Support manufacturing processes by developing PCB layouts for complex circuits involving FPGA, SoC (System on Chip), ARM processors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Utilize simulation tools such as SystemVerilog for hardware description and testing of digital circuits before deployment. Engage in project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Conduct debugging of electrical hardware using instruments like ohmmeters or vision inspection systems to ensure quality standards are met. Apply electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance across all designs and installations. Support system design reviews and documentation efforts using CAD software like Revit or SolidWorks for mechanical-electrical integration. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing automation solutions that enhance productivity. Experience Proven experience in electrical engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment with a strong focus on electrical systems design and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with FPGA development, PCB layout design, and integration of SoC architectures in complex projects. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), microcontrollers such as Arduino or ARM-based systems, and firmware development. Expertise in signal processing, system simulation (MATLAB/Simulink), and hardware description languages like SystemVerilog. Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks or similar CAD tools for schematic creation and mechanical-electrical integration drawings. Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, surface mount components handling, and electronics assembly processes. Ability to perform root cause analysis using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters or vision inspection systems; experience with debugging complex electronic hardware is preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to electrical enclosures and integration with mechanical systems is advantageous. Strong understanding of electrical standards including NEC regulations; experience supporting manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
