Position Overview:
The Manufacturing/Process Engineer role entails supporting the company's objectives and mission by enhancing, monitoring, and refining production procedures. The primary focus is on maintaining process stability, driving continuous improvement, and providing assistance for capital projects in collaboration with various departments to ensure effective, secure, and consistent manufacturing processes. Responsibilities of the
Manufacturing/Process Engineer:
Monitor process performance and address operational issues to support daily manufacturing activities. Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, routings, and standard work documents. Analyze production data to identify areas for process enhancements and implement necessary changes. Enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity through process modifications. Assist in new product or process introductions by facilitating trials, setup, and documentation processes. Lead and engage in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Manage root cause analysis processes and implement corrective actions to resolve process challenges effectively. Identify and eliminate waste, reduce scrap, optimize labor efficiency, and minimize material costs proactively. Coordinate and participate in kaizen events to drive continuous improvement efforts and monitor performance metrics. Maintain process enhancements by updating documentation and providing training for operators. Lead capital project initiatives from selection to installation to enhance operational capabilities and meet business goals. Develop and evaluate capital requests aligning with organizational objectives and cost reduction strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless equipment installation and successful commissioning. Support process validation, capability studies, and acceptance testing to meet quality and safety standards. Update documentation and conduct operator training following capital project implementation to ensure continuous improvement. Align processes with quality systems and customer requirements to drive operational excellence. Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality standards. Integrate safety measures and risk mitigation strategies into process improvement efforts to promote a safe work environment. Support internal audits and reviews to maintain compliance and process reliability.
