Pay Rate:
$35 - $41/hr The Supplier Quality Engineer will support Large Tractor new product programs with a primary focus on supplier quality for metal fabrication commodities. This role involves working closely with external suppliers to ensure product quality, process compliance, and successful launch execution for new product development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage supplier quality activities for metal fabrication suppliers (approximately 80% focus area) Execute quality planning activities including: Quality Plan Level (QPL) Design Process and Assembly Review (DPAR) PPAP submissions and approvals Support additional commodities as needed (approximately 20%) Provide build support for prototype and experimental builds Drive containment activities, root cause analysis, and issue resolution Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to ensure quality standards are met Spend time on the shop floor supporting manufacturing operations and supplier-related quality concerns
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology, or related discipline Manufacturing experience Working knowledge of quality planning methodologies Strong background in metal fabrication and welding processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with metal fabrication suppliers Previous supplier quality engineering experience SAP experience Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment Work Environment /
Additional Notes:
Fully onsite role within a factory/manufacturing environment Approximately 10% daily shop floor involvement required Occasional travel between facilities within a 20-mile radius using personal vehicle Initial interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams Visa sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future
