Job Description

Industrial Engineer - Local Candidates Richards-Wilcox (RWI Manufacturing Inc.), a leading metal fabrication manufacturer based in the Chicago area, is seeking a motivated and results-driven engineer. This role focuses on developing and maintaining manufacturing SOPs, CNC machine programming, and driving lean manufacturing process improvements, requiring a strong commitment to excellence and a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming and Operation:
Program press brakes, panel benders, lasers, and other advanced robotic equipment.
Data Management:
Create and maintain product routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Item Master data records.
Process Analysis:
Conduct operational analyses of production methods to evaluate labor efficiency and recommend improvements.
Training Development:
Design and lead training sessions for supervisors and trainers on new production techniques.
System Maintenance:
Ensure manufacturing systems are reliable and safe while improving production rates, efficiency, yields, cost-effectiveness, and changeover times.
Process Optimization:
Enhance process capability and production volumes while upholding and advancing quality standards.
System Implementation:
Develop and deploy systems to optimize all stages of the production process.
Lean Manufacturing:
Champion and implement Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:
Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (Required).
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years in CNC machining programming. (Laser, Press Brake, CNC Mill/Lathe)
Skills :
Strong understanding of Lean principles and processes. A mindset focused on continuous improvement and effective problem-solving. Excellent communication skills.
Technical Expertise :
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NC Express, and CADMAN is a plus. Competency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with MRP systems and metal fabrication experience is advantageous.

$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
