ABOUT THE ROLE

The student intern will support the Skokie Distribution Center by contributing to several active initiatives including identification and implementation of cost saving opportunities, productivity and efficiency improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for 5S and overall OS improvements within the Distribution Center. Distribution Center re-layout and process flow optimization initiative. Cost savings projects focused on operational efficiency. Order optimization including picking, packing, and material flow improvements. Support in completing active projects currently in the WAVE pipeline. Return order process optimization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Willingness to learn and take initiative on new tasks Able to work in an engaging, fast-paced, and learning-oriented environment AutoCAD or similar experience a plus. Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.

PAY RATE

The base pay for internships ranges between $23.50 - $33.50/hr. Factors, such as but not limited to, whether the role is technical or non-technical and education level may impact the pay for this position.
