Job Description

Job Description Are you looking for a challenging and exciting role that will allow you to drive operational performance while owning key projects for our customers? Do you take initiative to solve problems and pursue continuous improvement opportunities? Are you analytical, technically minded, and detail-oriented? If so, we want you to join the BAE Systems, Inc team. In this role, you'll provide support with layout, design, improvement, and implementation that enables our sites to achieve peak performance. You'll champion Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects, and you'll identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements. Your voice will be heard loud and clear in management circles, and you'll deliver results that have a direct impact on company profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
Use accepted industrial engineering and accounting principles to develop, implement, and maintain total manufacturing standards. Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to assist operations in meeting strategic objectives. Lead Kaizen events and projects to support company goals and objectives Enact quality control procedures to resolve productivity flow problems or minimize cost. Drive sustained improvements through the utilization of Continuous Improvement techniques: process flows, operating procedures, and work instructions. Assist in determining optimal shop floor layouts, product flow strategies, assembly methods, ergonomics, material handling, etc. Perform time and motion studies to develop standards for labor utilizationon.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering or related discipline with 2-3 years experience in manufacturing Ability to work collaboratively across departmental lines Highly organized and proficient in project management Proven ability to motivate and influence teammates to drive organizational change Excellent problem solving and time management skills Strong written and oral communication skills, including presenting to leadership Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills BS in Industrial Engineering or related discipline with 4-5 years' experience in manufacturing, or in absence of degree 8 years' experience. Experience with LEAN practices and projects utilizing the following LEAN tools VSM 6S Problem Solving 8 Waste Experience utilizing project management tools (KPI fire or similar).ar).
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
$96623 - $164259 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
